“A young couple’s love is threatened by infidelity, a vague feeling they’ve seen it all before, and the mysterious appearance of more and more oranges. Why? It has something to do with Spain. But every time they try to expose the juicy truth, all is forgotten. Why? It has something to do with…
Charming, funny, surreal… DÉJÀ VU is a timeless comedy you’ll want to see over and over again.”
Déjà Vu is an upcoming Czech/Australian production in the Prague Fringe Festival June 2012 and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival August 2012. It is an original tragi-comedy play written by Stuart Mentha and directed by Peter Hosking. The play focuses on a young couple in the midst of a break up being repeatedly interrupted by a strange feeling that they have somehow seen it all before. Unknown to them, time in their world is not a long single line but rather a mixed up ball of string with each strand of time occurring at the same time but in a different reality. The play is set in a dream, caught between places (Prague and Spain.)
Déjà Vu will be an exciting original play written with both native-English speakers and non-native English speakers in mind. It is surreal, funny, and very very enticing! Please keep checking this site for more details and updates about the progress of the show!
